The Israel Museum
Situated on a serene 20-acre campus, the Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the world’s leading art and archaeology museums.
Founded in 1965, the Museum houses the world’s most extensive collection of art and Holy Land archaeology, including the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest surviving biblical manuscript. From prehistory to the present, from Africa to Asia to the Americas, the Museum contains an encyclopedic collection of nearly 500,000 pieces.
The Israel Museum narrates the diverse stories of human history across millennia, spanning various backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities. It reflects the rich tapestry of cultures that have inhabited the region over time, fostering bridges of understanding and dialogue.
